The Fountain Trust Pipe Band traveled to Itasca, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, to compete at the Chicago Scots Scottish Festival & Highland Games on June 18, 2016. The band performed well on the day, placing above another band in Grade 3 for the first time with a 4th place out of 5 in the MSR event. This was a milestone goal, and the band has achieved it.

The band's soloists took home hardware in a fiercely contested solo competition on the evening of Friday, June 17, and the morning of June 18. The Chicago Games had both the best competitors playing and the most competitors of any contest so far this season, and every soloist managed to place, with a handful taking medals.

The band will next compete in Springfield, Illinois at the Springfield Area Highland Games & Celtic Festival on July 23, 2016.

Below you can view the performances from this past weekend, both our concert-formation Grade 3 medley event, and the traditional band circle event for the Grade 3 MSR.

Congratulations to the Cameron Highlanders Pipe Band of San Diego for their first prizes in the Medley, MSR, and the overall for the day.
